2 tier architechture: system landscape

Hi,

Just thinking about a 2 tier scenario.  Given that you are getting a 3 (if not more) tier component (i.e. the On Prem / STE part of the landscape, where you will have DEV / QA / PRD environment) integrating to a 2 tier component (i.e. MTE where you only have Q and P) - how do you get the system talking to each other?  Do you just link Q in MTE to the STE QA, and P to PRD, and DEV gets loft alone - or is there a more clever way to handle this?

Any suggestions for this conundrum?

Hi Clare,

In hybrid scenario, the integration is designed in transaction (e.g. PO, SO, invoice) and master data (e.g. Product, Customer) level. I think this is right to setup the integration between Q with QAS and P with PRD.

Since configurations (e.g. organization structure or document type) would not be synchronized, this is not necessary to integrate Q with DEV. DEV also does not get any required transaction data or master data for S4HC Q system.

Hi Clare,

You could integrate Q with both DEV and QAS system. For example, in the scenario of integration with supplier , you could consider headquarter DEV and QAS system as two different suppliers and set related configurations. And then you will be able to test and validate the integration process for DEV and QAS system at the same time.
