The trans.log is created when you run R3trans -d under <SID>adm user to check the database connectivity from a host where SAP instance is installed. This file is created in the directory (pwd) from where you are executing the above command.

Hi Nilesh

It is in /usr/sap/trans/trans.log, if the application server is Linux/Unix. In Windows it would be similar but depending on the installation, with a drive letter first.

It is always in the application server where R3trans runs.

Hope it helps.

Best regards, Rafael.
