I initiated a SAP ECC 6 EHP6 to SAP ECC6 EHP8 upgrade operation An error message appeared in the Phase MAIN_SHDPREPUT / START_SHDI_PREPUT :

sapcontrol.exe StartWait. FAIL: process disp + work Dispatcher not running

- For your information the operation in a platform: OS:

Windows Sever 2016

SQL: SQL Server 2016

SAP: ECC6 EHP6

Hi Cherif.

1. Could you attach the log files start_shdi_preput.log and devtrace.log?

2. Refer the SAP notes 2456753
