I am testing the in-house repair process in a vanilla S/4HANA 2022 On-prem instance.
Specifically, I am testing the process whereby the Return order we need in order to receive the defective item is triggered for the repair object from the Perform prechecks details apps. When I click on Returns order the system issues the following error message:
Item Item 10: Activity "" is only allowed if the produc: Activity "" is only allowed if the product is received.
The application log has no further info other than the error number: CX_MSR_TRC 176
I have checked the config as described under Integrate In-House Repair with Advanced Returns Management and I think the requirement are covered (as far as they were understandable to me at least)
I would appreciate any insights on how to fix this.

The issue turned out to be a missing entry in IMG Activity under Activate and Rename Follow-Up Activities for:
0001 - Receive into Plant
