Unable to see new classifying attributes in product details

Hi experts, we have defined a new classifying category for the following Classification System Version: ElectronicsClassification - 1.0. We have assigned a feature to this new classifying category. In the Catalog Structure Tab we have assigned both products and Categories to this new Classifying categories. We have executed a system update, a solr hot update and a stop and start of the system but it's not possible to show the new classifying category in product details tab.

We are using the Electronics catalog because in the hybris docs is explained that the product details tab is based on classifying categories. Thanks for all.

Hi Dario,

Have you verified your new classifying category has the right visibility setting (Visible to customergroup) ?

Hi Emmanuel, I am facing similar problem with classifications. My new classification and features appears correctly in hmc (in my case I use apparel catalog), but the classification can't be found in the product cockpit. The category assignments that I do from hmc are not available in the cockpit and therefore the "attributes" tab is missing. The "Visible to:" attribute is populated the same way as suggested in your previous reply. The only features that are visible in the cockpit are those from "powertools classification" ("electronics classification" is also not available, though imported and visible in hmc). Do you have any idea what could be missing in this case? I tried to re-index the catalogs, tomcat restart ... tried on 5.3 and 5.4 versions - same thing. I have the impression that only "powertools classification" gets loaded/indexed, but I do not understand why.

The visibility attribute only applies natively to the front users (customers, visitors). Your issue sound more related to permissions with the product cockpit user. Have you check that user has at least "read" rights on the Classification catalog(s)?

Hi Emmanuel,

Thanks a lot! I was using the default "productmanager" user in the product cockpit. After your comment I've checked the permissions of the classification catalogs and it appeared that this user had access only to power tools classification. After fixing the permissions I was able to see the attributes as expected.

Hi Emmanuel, Thank you very much, you were right, the problem was in the Category Visibility (customergroup). Best regards and thanks for your help. Dario

Hi Fionn in the hMc , under classifying category you have a property called something like 'category visibility' : there you can add customergroup. I'm sorry but in this moment I'm not working in the Hybris system, if you don't find it, write me next days. Bye
