SAP S4 Hana Service- Product Proposal BOM explosion

Hi,

I am facing the below issues during the in the explosion of the BOM in the product proposal screen in the service order:

1. The system correctly identifies the Material BOM and proposes it. However, there is no explosion of the BOM to show the material included. It is not displaying the BOM level items.
2. But If we set up the BOM at equipment level, then system is proposing the BOM in the product proposal screen. However, there is no way to 'Select All' the sub-items. If we have 100+ sub items in the BOM, then there should be a way to select all instead of selecting them one by one. Is there a SAP note for that?
3. Moreover, another problem we are facing is that Product Proposal is displaying all the BOMs for the equipment and not restricting it based on Sales Org/Service org/Plant for that specific service order. Is there a setting to control that, so that Product Proposal does not display all the BOMs, otherwise it would be difficult for the users to identify the right BOM.

Hello san_0512,

I've just checked one of my systems and system included automatically just the product that you selected. That means, you have to select the products.

For instance, you have this BOM

• Product A
• Product B
• Product C

If you select product A, system will not include automatically Product B and Product C.

I guess that you expected that system would include the subitems, don't you ?

Yes, our expectation was that once Product Proposal displays the BOM for an equipment, there should be an option to select all the products/materials into the service order instead of selecting the products one by one, which will turn into a manual process of selecting the products one by one. May be a select option at Equipment level should have been provided.

sorry, I didn't answer because system works as you explained : no way to select all products and no way to filter by Sales organization.
