SAP Identity Authentication Service as Proxy IdP for SAP CDC

Hi Experts,

We have requirement to integrate SAML configuration with SAP CDC and SAP IAS. Is it possible to create SAML configuration with SAP CDC and SAP IAS as both systems are behaving as Idp.

We have commerce application and which is already integrated with SAP IAS as IDP and requirement is for external users setup SAP CDC as IDP where user will login to SAP CDC and after authentication navigate to SAP IAS which will further provide authorisation of application to user.

Hi Savita,

Yes, this is possible.

You can configure IAS to act as an SP and configure CDC to act as the IDP.

The user flow will look something like:

1. user clicks login on the commerce site.
2. They are redirected to IAS login page.
3. User click "login for external users"
4. They are redirected to CDC login page.
5. User authenticated on CDC login page.
6. SAML federates the login from CDC to IAS
7. SAML federate the login from IAS to Commerce
8. User is successfully logged in.
