SAP C4C OData call on behalf of a SAP C4C user

Hello Experts,

I need help to find out the possibility of simulating user role by calling an OData Sales Quote update integration using the user name and if the integration is able to update the sales Quote then allow the user to perform certain action on the application. Is it something possible to find out if the user has Sales Quote edit role? is there any other alternative solution?

Business requirement is to open an html mashup with 3rd party App embedded inside in SAP C4C in edit mode or display mode based on user who is opening the sales Quote has edit and display rights for the sales Quote, only way in my opinion to know it is user click on edit pencil button which is not possible to track in the html mashup. Also from user experience point of view we do not want user to click on the edit button every time to let 3rd party application know if the user has edit rights. we need a solution to identify user rights before user clicks on html mashup.

Why would you want to trigger C4C OData with a C4C business user when SAP exposes a technical user that has all the relevant authorisation for communicating with C4C from outside world? Is there any business case? Could you pls explain?
