Integration SAP Commerce to C4C - Quote Replication - SOAP vs OData - C4C communication arrangemets

We are currently setting up the C4C – Commerce integration for quotes. Referring to this documentation:

After enabling the scoping for commerce integration in C4C Business Config and trying to configure the communication arrangements we are wondering why the docu says it’s required to set up

- Creation of Sales Quote Follow Up Document in SAP Business Suite

- Sales Quote Replication from SAP Business Suite

Because there is no such selection like “Sales Quote Replication from SAP Business Suite”, only “Sales Order Replication from SAP Business Suite” is available.

What is the correct one to use?

Furthermore the CPI integration package “SAP Commerce Cloud - B2B Integration with SAP Cloud for Customer” has the artifact “CommerceQuoteOutbound” showing that on c4c side old SOAP adapter is used instead of OData API. Is this supposed to be? And the endpoint of C4C states its “customerorderreplicationin” Why order and and not customerquote?

You need to scope following scopping question in order to see communication scenario "Creation of Sales Quote Follow Up Document in SAP Business Suite" in your c4c tenant.

Do you want to create follow-up documents for sales quotes from your cloud solution to an external application?

Regarding SOAP adapter being used to communicate from CPI to C4C, not all the iflow have been reworked to use OData API for communication with C4C. Hence for now you need to use the existing iflow(or build a new one on your own). Maybe in the future development team will release an update to the same iflow which will be build based on OData API.

Technically both order and quote share the same underlying business object CustomerQuote hence it could be the reason why developer of the iflow might have chosen customerorderreplicationin.(May be you need to check this point with SAP Support)

Hello,

the scoping quesion "follow up sales quote in external application" was already flagged and I already have set up com arrangment " Creation Creation of Sales Quote Follow Up Document in SAP Business Suite" thats ok.

But I still can not find "Sales Quote Replication". Are there any other scoping questions to be considered to enable this comm arrangement?

You need to also scope 2 other questions as shown:

Do you want to replicate sales quotes from an external application to your cloud solution?

Do you want to replicate sales quotes from your cloud solution to an external application?
