Content Studio: Emoticons in Subject - SAP Marketing Cloud

Dear Colleagues,

I did some research and testing but cannot come up with the way of adding emoticons in the email/SMS subjects created in the Content Studio of SAP Marketing Cloud.

My question is:

Is there any way to add emoticons in the email subject? Modifying the source code somehow?

Any help/hint on the topic will be much appreciated!

Hi,

You can very well add Emoticons in subject as well as in Body. To do this just export the email template from Marketing Cloud using "Download" button which will generate a HTML file.

Edit the downloaded HTML and insert "code" for emoticons as text in your body or subject. I am attaching a snapshot here as in example where I will show (FACE WITH STUCK-OUT TONGUE AND WINKING EYE emoji)

In

Save you changes and again uplaod back the file to Marketing Cloud Content Studio and Test email.

Output will look different based on email rendering client as attached here:
