Organization not available in COMMPR01 for assignment in same day

Hi,

I have created a new organization in PPOMA_CRM transaction.

The organiziation is attached to a sales area and is active.

We then try to assign this sales org to a product in COMMPR01 transaction.

When we try to do the assignment in the sales and distribution tab in COMMPR01 transaction, then this same organization does not appear for selection.

But the next day it appears for selection.

Are you aware if there is any configuration setting which does this?

Or is there any active BAdi which causes this behaviour.

In our quality system we do not observe this delay. Immediately after the organization is active, it is available for assignment in COMMPR01 transaction.

Kindly reply if anyone in this forum has faced such scenarios or has some idea on this.

Hi Jaisish

  1. Ensure the report HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE is ran daily. Caution: This report must be executed everyday past midnight. The word of caution is that the report must be ran at a time when no other Transaction/report which might access org data is running.
  2. Double-check if the flag ‘Obj. Permitted in Determination’ (Tab Attributes) has been set for the relevant Organizational Units and its scenarios. This flag has to be set for all the levels.
  3. Execute the ‘Consistency’ check available for each scenario (Sales, Service, Marketing) in the tab Attributes. This test will let you know if there is another missing entry in your customizing.
  4. Ensure the user who creates the transaction has the relevant authorizations for the object CRM_BP_SA.

Hi Vaibhav,

We are running the program HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE daily as a batch job.

But then we want the org model change to be immediately available and not after this job is run.

So you know any report which can make this change immediately available.

We also have created a custom program for this purpose.

But since few days it is not working in the production environment, though it works fine in the quality environment.

But we did not do any changes to that program or any settings recently.

Are you aware if there is some settings which might be the cause, or is there any program available which can do immediate update without affecting the performance.

Hi,

you can schedule HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE after every hour (or according to requiredment) first make sure above mention job is giving you desire result if yes than schedule after 30 min or make a note that after creating org structure Consultant have to execute this job.

1.1.1          Updating List of Organizational Units

Use

Run this activity to make changes to the organizational model visible for applications working on the model. Normally changes are not visible until the following day.

Procedure

1.     Access the activity using the following navigation options:

Transaction code

SPRO

SAP CRM IMG menu

  1. Customer Relationship Management ® Master Data ® Organizational Management ® Tools ® Update List of Organizational Objects

2.     Choose Execute to update object type O (Organizational unit).

Result

You have updated the list of organizational objects.

1.1.2          Checking Settings for Attribute Maintenance

Use

Check the consistency of the attribute assignments to the organizational units.

Procedure

1.     Access the activity using the following navigation options:

Transaction code

SPRO

SAP CRM IMG menu

  1. Customer Relationship Management ® Master Data ® Organizational Management ® Tools ®Check Settings for  Attribute Maintenance

2.     Execute the check.

Result

The settings for attribute maintenance have been checked.

Use

See the documentation of the IMG activity for details about this check.

Procedure

1.     Access the activity using the following navigation options:

Transaction code

SPRO

SAP CRM IMG menu

  1. Customer Relationship Management ® Master Data ® Organizational Management ® Tools ® Organizational Data Settings Check

2.     Maintain the following values:

Transaction Type (* = All)

3.     Execute the check (F8).

Result

The organizational data settings have been checked.

If you change the organizational structure, you have to run the following reports (se38):

a) CRM_COM_ORGMAN_BUPA_INTEGRATE

b) HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE

c) HRALXSYNC
