hero product icon not appearing in backoffice search results

When we go to backoffice and search a product from the search bar the star icon(hero product icon) is not appearing beside the product name. However if we go to the Categories widget and select a category then the corresponding products in the search results pane have the hero prodduct icon. Can we enable the hero product icon for the products that appear after product search through search bar?

Have you tried to define boost rule instead of using hero product functionality?

Originally, according to another expert question link, hero definitions were designed to work only for categories.

Hi,

could you attach screenshots showing the problem? Chances are that the component you refer to does not support preview.

In fact we have a strategy to show such a preview quite easily and if this is the case I will create an improvmenet for that or will try to hlp you to configure it.

Please find the screenshots. The star icon is not appearing when we are making a search. But it is appearing for products that are coming after clicking on the category list.
