Do impex files using the batchmode modifier operate in a single transaction?

In regular Impex, each data record is basically its own transaction. In distributed impex, the data records get put into batches and each batch is committed in a single transaction. If distributed impex has not been enabled, and the impex makes use of the [batchmode] modifier, are the records affected committed in a single transaction or transaction per record?

Hi mark, I am also using impex remove using batchMode modifier.

where you able to find this out. If this is not in transaction , is there any way to make it transnational.
