Generating a CSR is a generic TLS/SSL certificate activity, independent of whatever web server / hosting technology is in use. There are a number of tools out there, with perhaps the most common being OpenSSL - if you Google that you will be able to find lots of results around using the OpenSSL command line to create and manipulate both CSRs and certificates.
