Is it that you cannot use a user defined value to update a user defined field?
I've set this up and if I click into the UDF and then click the magnifying glass then it updates using the data in the query as expected, but I don't want to do that - it should update automatically when a dependent field changes. I've tried making the dependent field the customer name, code, and BP ref no. and none update the UDF automatically as desired.
I then tried setting it up on a SAP default field: 'Remarks' and it automatically updates as desired.
This is very frustrating as this should be so simple to set up and makes me conclude that the answer to my question above is 'yes - you can only use UDV with default form fields', but would be great to be wrong?
