where i should be able to change the devlopment class

To change development class in SE38 use this path

GOTO --> OBJECT DIRECTORY ENTRY and then change the class.

Else goto SE10

Click on Organizer Tools

in Object Directory Tree, select Change Object Directory Entries and execute.

In next screen give details and execute.

but the objects like

doct ( general text )

ecat ( ecatt test script )

ecsd ( ecatt system data conatainer )

u do not find these objects

SE10 will allow u to enter objects for DOCT.

For CATT objects, are u using SCAT transaction?

Hi Avinash,

For ecatts check development class/package SECATT_DDIC and transaction SECATT.

For general text transaction is SO10 and tables are STXH and STXL.

For Object Naviagtor SE80 you can change development class.

For function groups check ENLFDIR table.

All transaction codes are stored in TSTC and TSTCT tables

for object doct ecat ecds i could find object directry entry. i need object directry entry to modify the package becasue i need to move all $tmp objects to some zpackage

hi

if it is $tmp then in goto choose object directory entry

and then go to change mode and change accordingly.

if it is SAP standard then it will not ley you modify.

Try this in change mode - Goto Attributes then in Extras check for Object Directory entry. You can change here. For DOCT you can use SE10, in the selection by objects table, enter DOCT and object name, execute this. Also if you provide userid, it will be helpful.
