SE63 - Translation mistake, how to fix?

Gurus,

I am almost completely unfamiliar with SE63 save for the experimenting I was doing today. I accessed via SE63 the data element AESKD and tried changing the long text to something funny and saving. It changed the text below. When I tried to change it back and saved, it did not work.

How come?  What steps do I need to take, keep in mind I am very unfamiliar with the terminology and SE63 in general. I don't understand Proposals or any of it. Help!!!!!

Hi Brian,

You need to go to SE63 ->Translation->ABAP Objects->Short Texts->Repository Texts->DTEL Data Elements.

Give the object name as AESKD.

The default for me is DE to EN

Check if there is any difference.

Also, which language did you log in with?

Check with that language also.

Hi Brain,

Try Small Enhancement,

GoTo CMOD->GoTo->Text Enhancements ->Keywords->change

Enter the Data Elements Name : AESKD.

After Enter you can find the screen showing change keywords.

Change the Description as you required.

Go to Transaction CMOD

In the Menu Bar - Goto -> Text Enhancements -> Keywords -> Change

Give Language - EN and Data Element as AESKD

Short Field Label - Change
Medium Field Label - Engin. change
Long Field Label - Engineering change
Heading - Engin.Change
Short Description - Customer Engineering Change Status
