Regarding " ALE"

i)what is meant by & Difference between.

1.Application service,

2.distribution service,

3.communication service.

ii) Plz give me some step by step process to create on ALE.

iii)How to communicate the ALE with idoc.

iv) Give me some pdf's or documents for ALE.
