Processor, RAM, Storage (Laptop) requirements for SAP developers?

Hello guys,

i have a short question regarding the CPU,RAM and Storage requirements for a SAP developer.

I want to buy a laptop with the following specifications:

RAM: 32GB

Storage: 1TB

CPU: 2,2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 8. Gen

what would you guys recommend and is the i7 sufficient enough?

or is 16 GB of RAM and a i7-8650U enough (surface book 2)?

and one more question is 16 GB of DDR3 ok?

Hi,

16 GB is sufficient mostly you will be using studio, eclipse for development and which can also work on 8 GB ram

Since most of the work is done by the backend, either through SAPGui, or JCo if you're using Eclipse, any modern laptop will work fine. i3, i5, i7... whatever. 8 GB more than enough.

If your only criterion is to do ABAP, you don't need anything more than minimal spec.
