Need Advice!!!!!!!

Dear All,

Myself is Abhay Singh, working in reputed organization as a SAP ABAP Consultant. I have done Bcom along with MCA.

I have total 1.5 years of experience in respective field.

Now my problem is that I am no more interested in doing ABAP coding.

And I want to change my field. My interest is more towarsd client interaction and understanding requirement.

Is there any upcoming areas in SAP where I can get train myself and where my ABAP expereince also get counted.

What about the XI and Portals and all?

Please guide me.

Hi Abhay,

I've been following ur posts for quite a long time. I understand that you are fed up of coding. You want to involve in client interaction and things of that sort.

For that you need not leave ABAP. There are a few companies which give you such chances even if you are an ABAP Consultant.

Regading XI and EP, they are almost out now. I don't think they are as hot as they were before. there are not many projects which are coming up on XI and EP.

Try to learn technologies like MDM and HCM. ESOA is one methodology that every technology is back of. So get yourself familiar with that one.

Hi Abhay,

you say u dont have interest in coding.if u opy fir XI

u need to have knowledge on java.u have modules like BI,MM

etc why dont u go for such modules where you come accross more business scenarios that are to be understood.

you will have added advatage or value with ABAP and any Fuction Module.
