MS Word Document Protection

Hi Experts,

We are trying to protect a Word document after SAP has populated some values in it.

We have found note #827480 which recommended that we use a macro in the word document to protect it.

Unfortunately, we are having some trouble interpreting the note. We are finding the following extract from the note very difficult to understand:

You must enhance the customer function module that fills the form fields automatically and that is entered in the Registry as FUNCTION_GET_FORM_DATA connection parameter value, so that the password is returned for the protection as pseudo attribute with the name, "*SAP_PROTECT_PW*". If you do not have such a function module yet, you must create it. The pseudo attribute must have the password as value.

Could someone please shed some light on this topic?

We have searched SDN and Google and have not found anything useful in this regard.

We are running CRM 5 with the latest service packs.

Points will be awarded.

Thanks in advance.

How do you do mr. Vivendran Govender, I´m not answering your question, sorry for that, but I´m really interested on how to integrate SAP with MS OFFICE WORD.

I´d like to know how MS WORD FIELDs can receive information from SAP and print out a document.

Can you send links or simple example code? Thanks in advance...
