More Infos on data transfer transactions (IL06, IL18, IL17)

Dear forumers,

Need to find out the documentation for the below Data transfer transactions:

IL06 - From Functional location

IL18 - From equipment

IL17 - Take up data transfer.

Trying to find out what it does but to no avail. Would appreciate if somebody could briefly explain:

1 what it does &

2 whether it's transferring data from ext file to SAP or vice versa.

Not sure if you got the answer, these transactions are to transfer the data from reference using the data origin functionality. during mass changes there might be a lock from data transfer from origin to source. Eg a object type might not be copied from FL to equipment installed and this can be updated using these t-codes like il21
