In any intractive reports how many levels I can go. for ex.... if user clicks on first page for next detailed list and so on....

Hi,
In any interactive reports there is <b>1 Basic list</b> and <b>20 secondary levels</b> (or detailed list) for interactive report writing.After the limit of 20 it will a short dump.

One can go upto 20+1 lists.
1 basic list and 20 interactive lists.

they are 0-20 lists we can get.
0 list is called basic list
1-20 lists are secondary lists...
if u click on 20 list it takes to short dump..

HI,
u can go upto 20 secondary lists.if u try to go further it will give u run time error.
so u have to deactivate the function code PICK at 20th list.
sy-lsind will give u the current list index(list number)
<b>check this simple example:</b>
SET PF-STATUS 'MENU'.
write: 'basic list'.
AT LINE-SELECTION.
IF sy-lsind = 20.
set PF-STATUS 'MENU' EXCLUDING 'PICK' IMMEDIATELY.
ENDIF.
write:/ 'secondary list',sy-lsind.

You can go upto 20 Detail lists (SY-LSIND = 20)
But in case of ALV Reports there is no limit.

We can create 1 basic list and upto <b>20</b> Interactive lists.
