IDOC PSGNUM Clarification.

Hi,

I was going through some ABAP documents and found that PSGNUM is a field which contains the the hier. value of previous segment. But which i am not getting is in two of idoc i am getting two different value.

So it started me thinking it might be the segment number of previous parent segment. Please confirm the same.

Here is some test data for comparision.

Segnum Segnam Hier Level.

I have done it on my own, yes that is correct. The segnumber of parent segment is psgnum of current segment. Closing this thread.
