Hi all,

we are upgrading from 4.6C to ECC6.0

as part of this, in the SPAU transaction we got a list of objects as in the follwing subtrees....

Modifications and Enhancements>Without Modification Assistant>HR Objects-->Logical Info Objects (Client-Speci

Modifications and Enhancements>Without Modification Assistant>HR Objects-->Logical Info Objects (Cross-Client

Modifications and Enhancements>Without Modification Assistant>HR Objects-->Physical Info Objects (Client-Spec

Modifications and Enhancements>Without Modification Assistant>HR Objects-->Billing Operations (SAP)

we couldn't get any version of the objects and stuck up going forward.

I would be very helpful if someone could help us out.

thanks,

teja.

If you dont have any versions nor documentation, you have two possibilities:

  • check differences manually

  • go back to original

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

There are some objects in the list which are BLANK and the TR description is given <unknown>. we are confused how to go on further with these ones.

As of now, we did the required modifications in the Programs, FMs etc... Some of them are reverted back to the 4.6C version and some are reset to the original ECC6.0 version.

Would there be any relation between these HR objects and the Programs/FMs(or any other objects) already modified??

If related, would there be any conflict if the HR object and the related Program/FM are in different versions??

im confused at this point.

Thanks,

teja.

As we went from 4.7 to ECC6 we set all those undocumnted stuff back to original. As you are going from 4.6 the differences are quite bigger, and its really the quesion if those modifications are still working.

You can find out of upgradning a test system and let you end-users test. You will find out what they are going to miss.

These are SAP HR Documentation objects. Use transaction PDSY and compare the object in question manually with the non-upgraded environment to understand the conflicts. Unless a customer change is in conflict with new SAP changes, the object can be reset to original.
