How to establish SSO between ECC and CRM (both ABAP stacks)

Hello,

After CRM system refresh, I have tried to establish SSO between ECC and CRM (both ABAP stacks) by doing export import of certificates (including SSL certificates) in strustsso2 and also established trust relationship between the two systems in SMT1/SMT2. However, problem is that sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. I tried to search SAP document/note but could not find it. Anyone can guide me on this?
