How do you create and use a doc template in uploading an RFT file in SO10?

I am trying to upload a Word doc file (RTF not DOC extension) and I see where i can use a Doc template when uploading.

I want to know if this is somethiing I create (not sure where I do it) and if it will then upload the RTF file into SO10 with all (or most of) the indents, bold, etc. from the RTF file.

If I can - it will save alot of time doing manaul changes to the Text file once it is uploaded.

No response - so will not use the template.
