Group Seperator in 2D Barcode for GS1 Label

We are trying to incorporate the Group Seperator <GS> in string generated as part of GS1 Barcode.

But when we scan through scanners the Group Seperator is considered as character and is printed as <GS>

For Example: ]d201034531200000111719112510ABCD1234<GS>2110

When we scan the above 2D Barcode then the Group Separator is also scanned as Character.
