Solved: EDI Segment released can be modified

Hello,

We have a custom EDI segement the structure of which needs to be modified. The length of the custom field has changed howeever this is not updated in the segment since I am assuming the segment is released.

I tried to create a new version howevre this does not allow me to change the exisiting field length.

Is there any way I can change the field lenght in the structure of a segment which is released ?

Hi,

Yes u can do it.

just go to segment editor ( We31 ...enter Segment Name ).

edit---->Cancel release.

but u should be authorised to cancel release. ( if not option will be disabled)

ones u cancel the release u can edit the segment.

Yes you can cancel the release form WE31. Pass the segment name in WE31 and go to menu EDIT-Cancel Release.
