Difference between sap_om.xls and sap_mm.xls

Hi,

I have a question about a change layout.

I execute a transaction and it is an alv_report.

I click on change layout and on tab view. In preferred view, i choose Microsoft Excel and here I have two choice : sap_om.xls and sap_mm.xls.

What is the difference between this choice ?

First of all let us know what is the transaction? I think there is no difference but the data in these two tabs.

We can see these files in many of the PM/CS list-edit reports such as IW38.

The SAP_MM.XLS file has some macros assigned (ALV_SAP_Exit and ALV_CUS_Exit) whereas the SAP_OM.XLS  does not.

You can copy these XLS files as specified in the above OSS Note. You can then use the marcos to include pivot tables, charts, filters, etc
