Hi

business partner can ba a person or group of person or organization (firms , branch , offices).

business partner are the center of business transactions, and thus the center of business intrest.

a business partneris is created only once in the system , but can take sevaral diffrent roles.

the diffrent relationships between business partners can also be defined

exmple

if a company is a both customer and a vendor , it is still one and the same business partner

<b>the business partner categories</b>

the business partner categories denotes wether a business partner ia a person (indvidual), organization (legal person /entity or part of a legal entity such as department ) or a group

when you create a business partner , you have to select a business partner .

diffrent business partner categories have diffrent fields in which the user can enter data

for example

for a organization : form of address , name ,legal form , industry ,legal entity etc..

for person : form address , first and last name ,other name components , gender etc..

for groups : form address , two names , partner groups etc..

it is not possible to create other business partner categories apart from the specified categories also you cannot alter the business partner category at a later stage

capture t he information of a BP for perticular business process

a business partner can have several roles at one time .

for example

sold-to-party , ship-to-party , bill-to-party

each role has diffrent data set used to capture the data specific to that role
