BD53 - Default Basic Type

Hi,

I try to create a new reduced message type (BD53) for message type HRMD_A. The problem is that an older reduced message type is displayed by default when creating the new reduced message type. Is it only possible to have one reduced message type per message type? If no, how can I avoid having the old reduced message type as default for message type HRMD_A?

hI,

I think we cannot reduce Zmessagetype.We can reduce only the stanard message type.u can do the required segment filtering in BD56,so that the fields which u require will be there in the idoc.

So create a reduced message type with reference to standard message type and do the segment filtering.

I am not trying to reduce a custom message type. I am trying to create two different reduced message types based on the same standard message type. Is that possible?

I solved the issue by maintaining table TBDMS via transaction BD69.
