BAPI or FM's for CO48 and CO05

I am looking for two BAPI / FM's for the following transactions:

1) CO48 (Production Order Create from planned order), and

2) CO05 (Release Production Order)

I'm interested in hearing about any experiences (or better yet successes!) in this area?

I am currently doing these via call transactions, but they do not perform very efficiently.

BAPI_PRODORD_RELEASE

and

BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE_FROM_PLORD

Thanks for the prompt response. Unfortunately, we're running R/3 4.6c, and I'm not seeing these FM's in our system
