Attribute name has more than 30 characters

Hi Experts

I want to create an attribute for a class which has more than 30 characters. It should work, because in my source system I have the same attr. name, but I always get the error message that I cannot create it, bcause its too long.

What should I do?

Hi,

You canot create a varaible name more than 30 charecters in SAP. it should be up to 30 charectres..

The maximum lenght in SAP is 30 and there is no other option apart from making the lenght of attribute less than or equla to 30

Hi,

what does your attribute name look like on the source system?

is it possibly an attribute that comes in from an interface?
