ASSIGN_CAST_WRONG_LENGTH error encountered at AS02, AS03 screens

Hi All,

I';m facing a wierd problem I get the Runtime error: ASSIGN_CAST_WRONG_LENGTH

This i face at the AS02 & AS03 screens. However, other users on our SAP system dont face this issue when they log on from my system. It occurs with my user ID on other systems as well, inspite of me having the same roles and authorizations as others who can access it.

I will highly appreciate it if someone can help me out.

check your user-settings, parameter Id' (PID)

You meant the SU01 settings right? I tried it but it doesnt help. PID is identical with other users for whom the transaction works.

guys help please!

Tried looking at SAP notes 506290, 511148, 511504 as well. But they have already been implemented in the system.

Any idea as to what I can do?

It's a standard SAP transaction, so if there are no applicable notes, there's not much we can do. You should open an OSS message.

Heres the solution from SAP.

Delete the entries for just the users where:

DDSHPVAL50-USERNAME = 'INDIVIDUAL USER'S NAME'

This clears the F4 help worklist and things work just fine!
