Add Tcode to Sap menu

Hi gurus,

Can anyone guide me as to how to add Custom T-code to Sap menu.

Hi,

It assumes that you have already created a Tcode for a custom program.

In the easy access amenu Go to "Favorites" menu and select Insert transcation (CTRlSHIFTF4).

Here give the Tcode that you have maintained for the program.

If u want any tcode. we need go to abaper and ask then to create tcode. they create with "z" ur tcode

I do not want to add to favourite but to sap menu.

we are using se43 but it gives the message ' cannot be added to the node'

can anyone guide us?

Hi,

If u want tcode in front of trans then follow as:

Extras --> Settings --> Display technical names

You can use SSM1 / SE43 to make that change. Speak to an ABAPer to do this. They know how.

u mean to say to want to add custom T-code to sap menu or

sap favourites.if u mean to add to favourites then after logging into SAP click on favorites and click on

-

---

> insert transaction.

give transaction name (i.e ztest)

then this T-code will be added to u r favorites.

if u mean adding to SAP menu , we have to create a package and assign that package to a particular functional area and save it. when creating custom T-code it will ask for a package then give the name of the package.Then the custom created T-code will be stored under that application and u can see that T-code under that particular area..

Created package and assigned to functional area. But when i go to create a transaction, the package is graded out. I am not able to enter anything under package

I want to add zabc04. But i by mistake added after Zabc01. I need to add it after Zabc03 in sequence.

How to do that?

Hi surya,

i will tell you a simple way to add custom Tcodes to SAP menu withoput the help of an ABAPer.

go to devolopment system

Tcode SMOD

enhancement = CUST3

select components radio button

press display button

double click on function codes-> MENUS000

now it will take you to SAP menu

press Display->Change button in application toll bar

press change button in screen-specify processing mode pop up window

then u will be prompted to Edit area menu screen

now you select in which area you want to add custom Tcode. for example: in Financial Acct or logistics...

position the cursor on the desired area and press add entry as sub node button in application toll bar.(Ex sub node = Reports for ABC Ltd)

and position the cursor on the sub node, which you have created just now and press again add entry as sub node

..in the next screen enter ur custom Tcodes and descriptions as you want.

note: here the system will give you error says that changes in language in EN is not possible---

all these steps we have to remember for easy identification of buttons.

now you loggoff and loggin again with language DE

follow all the above said steps

after creating sub node under ur desired area, and again under ur sub node of Reports for ABC Ltd position the cursor on it.
