Hi Archiving experts.
I am facing a issue, I created a Z info structure for standard COPAB_PI02 since standard was not available.
I scheudled write and delete jobs and I could see some data from file system being transferred to info structure for year 2008 and 2009.
Requirement then changed to add few more fields and data elements in info structure. So we added few fields like company code and others to info structure and re activated the infostructure.
and scheduled the write and delete jobs for year 2010. This worked fine as required.
The problem i see is now that old data for year 2008 and 2009 is gone disappeared.
I am not able to see any more 2008, 2009 old data only 20101 data is seen.
Is this standard behavior of SAP, meaning when i change / edit / re activate the info structure the old data is lost?
Any pointers will be highly appreciated.
just goto tcode sari-->ststus--->status per infostructure-->select and fill infostructure-->run in background.
check your job in sm37, after the job completion you will see the missing data.

An infostructure can also be filled later for already existing archives.
The manual option allows you to build infostructures to evaluate data that was archived before you implemented your Archive Information System or after you have changed the fields of an infostructure.
The new infostructure can manually be build through SARI as suggested by Manjunath Tony.
SARI-->STATUS-->STATUS PER INFOSTRUCTURE-->SELECT AND BUILD INFOSTRUCTURE-->RUN IN BACKGROUND
