BEx variable not showing in BIWS input

Hi Experts,

I am facing real trouble using BIWS in Xcelsius.

Product Details:

BOE XI 3.1 SP3

Xcelsius 2008 SP4

Problem:

We have a webi report built on BEx. In Bex, we have restricted key figures (YTD, MTD) based on calendar yr-month.

If I publish a block as BIWS, in Xcelsius QaaWS connection, No prompt is displayed for calendar yr-month.

Is there any solution for this problem ?

But this is for BO 4.0 and we are on BOXI 3.1 SP3.

Also, the problem addressed there is different. I am not able to see the variable prompt from BEx in input section of QaaWS connection when I import the web service url of BIWS.

SAP Note 1694762 addresses similar situation as mine but does not provide any solution.

Any idea ?

Thanks for the info, i have found the

ADAPT01439878

Web Service Publisher : universe prompts are not exposed in BI Service

for the KBA you mention,

and its closed by design in 3.1

and fixed in BI 4.0 SP4

means yes univers prompt define on univers is not available in xcelsius 2008.
