mm06- Material having stock

Dear All,

In MM06 we can put a deletion flag for materials at Client/Plant/S.Loc level. but the system is accepting to delete a material having stock.

How to restrict this operation (deletion flag for materials having stock). Is there any standard message available?

Please guide me.

Hi Vijay,

The deletion flag does not restrict any activity with the SAP standard settings. User just gets a warning message that this material is forseen for a furture deletion. The actual deletion happens at the time of acrhiving and that time SAP checks for any inconsistency. That time system will not archive a material with having a deletion flag if you have stock available for that material.

It is not a permanent deletion of material, so whenever you want you can remove the deletion flag.
