SunFire X2250 Running Linux Enterprise Server 10 Hangs on SyBase Adaptive Server Anywhere startup

I have a SunFire X2250 running Linux Enterprise Server 10. During boot, the system gets stuck trying to start SyBase Adaptive Server Anywhere. IS there any way to force the system to skip this and complete the startup?

This is where it's stuck:

    Hi Tim,

This is mostly a Linux question. I would try to start it in single user mode and disable the SQL Anywhere service.

    Best regards,

    Kimon
