Problem in transporting PFAC rule/responsibility

Former Member

Hi All ,

I have created a new responsibility under one existed Rule using PFAC transaction, and transported it to quality system using Lorry icon, but when I check the same Rule/Responsibility in quality system, it seems like it has not been transported, while the TR's log is showing that the TR has been imported to quality system successfully.

I don't know why this problem is occurred this time while in past i have sent same type of responsibilities to quality system many times.

Its urgent, can anybody help me out regarding this issue.

Thanks.

Hi Paul, Sree is correct. You need to use program RHMOVE30 to transport responsibilities.  The Rule itself is transported using a change request, but the responsibilities are customizing data and are transported using RHMOVE30 to create the appropriate customizing request for all the related HR objects.

Hi Jocelyn,

Surely you can also use OOCU_RESP to maintain responsibilities in Production instead of transporting them?

We often want to have completely different assignments in the test systems.

Hi Rick,

Yes you can use OOCU_RESP for the whole thing - but often what we see customers want to do is transport the RY objects that hold the combinations of criteria to be used, and then only maintain the assignments to positions/persons/users for each of those criteria in OOCU_RESP.  This is particularly true where the combinations change very rarely and it is only the personnel assignments that need to be adjusted from time to time.

Jocelyn
