Routing Component allocation - Direct production

I have a BOM and a routing for material A (with operations 0010, 0020, 0030). There are several fantom materials in this BOM (100001, 100002 and 100003), all of them assigned to operation 0020.

1) I change the special procurement type in material master 100001 to '52' because I want this material to work with direct production. The change is performed with a change number on a future date.

2) I change the special procurement type for 1000001 to 52 in the BOM of A because the system doesn't do this automatically. The change is performed with a change number on a future date.

When I display the routing without a change number, componenet allocation remains unchanged. If however I display the routing with the change number used above, I see that the component llocation to routing 0020 has been lost for material 1000001. In table PLMZ there are no records for that change number. What is the table where the 2 different versions can be viewed?

Either 1. or 2. needs to be done, doing both is not necessary.

If you activate 52 at material level, it means the assembly will be a direct production for all the pegged requirements (Material A, in your example, and all others which contain 100001 as an item). 52 will not appear in BOM item details but still be part of collective order. You can say that this is global activation.

If you activate 52 at BOM item level, direct production of that assembly is valid only for that pegged requirement (Material A). You can say this is local activation.
