BO Mobile Mobile Hybrid Installation Error

Hi Experts,

I am installing BO Mobile on Windows as AIX is not supported.

You can download and install BI 4.0 for windows on different machine

with same patch same as patch of AIX.

You just need to choose Tomcat and MobileService from the Setup and

during installation it would ask for CMS details which you could

provide of AIX machine.

When I put the name of CMS or IP it show this:

either the remote CMS cannot be reached or the logon credentials are incorrect INS00013

Port 6400 is open and BO Mobile Server is in the DMZ

Any clue?

port 6400 is not enough.

You're basicaly doing web tier install on machine in DMZ, and mobile webapp need to talk to backend BOE servers on various ports, not just single CMS port 6400.

Review Working with firewalls portion of the BI4 Admin guide for the minimum ports you need to open.

p.s.

It's not a good idea to place mobile services (web apps) inside the DMZ.  Your router/proxy/web server should be in the DMZ, with one port open thru outside firewall and one port open in the inside firewall connecting this router/proxy/web server to the web app server running BOE apps.

safer that way.

Hi Denis,

If I move BO Server inside the LAN , which port should be open between proxy server and this one?

Regards.

Hello Jorge - for what it's worth, the SP06 version does support the Mobile Server on AIX.

See the PAM here:

Hi Jorge,

Is the error in the SAP BI app or BILaunchpad. If it's in the BIlaunchpad maybe transferring this to BI platform would have more chance to be answered

Thanks
