Detailed navigation icon

Hello all,

is it possible to change the icon of a detailed navigation entry, according to

the type of iView, which is refered ?

For example:

•      BEx Query

    █       BEx Analyzer workbook (may be with a colored square)

Hi Max,

The short answer I think is "Not easily". Of course if you write your own detailed navigation you could check to see what type of iView it is an then display whatever icon you want next to it. I'm not sure you want to go to that much trouble just to change the icon.

I can't think of another way, perhaps someone else in the community can?

If you use a workset map or service map you can have different icons displayed, but they appear on the workset/service map page not in the detailed navigation.

Hi Simon,

thank you for your reply. As you mentioned, developing our own detailed navigation will be to much for our case.

In addtion we truly have a workset map as a overview page for the reports, but we want to illustrate the type, so the user is able to differ the type just with one look on the detailed navigation.

Hi Max,

As Simon suggested you should go with custom DLN where you can implement your business logic. There are Navigation APIs available in SCN to implement DLN.
