Clear the input/output field in the screen

Hi Everyone,

I want to clear the input/output field element of the screen after performing some tasks.

I gave this Clear xxx.

But it does not clear, what could be the problem?. Its an i/p o/p field from screen painter.

Any help will be grealty appreciated.

Can you give an example of exactly what you are doing?

In my screen in the input/output field x_info I populate all the list of infoproviders available in the system.

After selecting any one I perform the required task.

After when it finishes.

It has to clear this field, but it does do the value which i selected stays as it is.

I think now u got it what i am doing.

Just check whether u hv checked the set parameter & get parameter.

Go to layout editor from SE51.

Double click the particular field.

In screen painter attributes u can find this option.

if it is checked then uncheck and try

IN PBO,

Use refresh if u want to refresh the contents of the internal table.

Or if u want to refresh the table control internal table then refresh that table.

Make sure that u r refreshing the correct table try it in debugging mode u can find wher it is failing.

Do it in the PBO.

You can do it in the PBO or the PAI, it depends on your logic and program flow.

Rich - I think that in general, PAI is for processing and PBO is for setting the display. Any time I try to clear screen fields in PAI, I get in trouble. Could you provide an example?

I did this in the PAI, but still it does not clear it. Is it because I am populating the data in this field through f4 help.

Then what can be done to clear this field which populates the data through f4 help.

Any help will be good.
