Hi,
I have 4 BW queries feeding the dashboard. Is there a way to control the execution of these queries?
I need 3 and 4 queries start execution only after execution of 1 and 2 queries. Any ideas..
Thanks
Ram
Hi
You can also use a connection refresh button to trigger the queries that are to be invoked after the first two queries. You can set the trigger cell of the connection refresh button to any cell that gets populated by the first two queries and trigger the 3rd and 4th queries.
Hope this helps.

Here’s a trick that I use . . .
Configure the Usage Options for each query.
For each query I set the Loading Message to 1 and the Idle Message to 0.
Insert the Load Status into a set of cells in the spreadsheet.
Then add a History component for each Load Status that will insert the prior load status into an adjacent cell. (insert on interval)
If the History cell is 1 and the Loading cell is 0, then I know the query just ran. I use this to set a value in my trigger cell for the next query.

Hi Alex,
I have added 'History' component and specified 'data' and 'destination' columns.
But both of them showing same values always. Destination column not showing history value of 'data' column. In fact when query is idle 'Data' shown as '0' and 'Destination' also same. Once query executed 'Data' shown as 1 and destination also same. Below is what exactly I have done..
1. A1, A2 correspondingly have values 1, 0
2. Load status configured as loading message to A1 and Idle message to A2.
3. Load status returns value to B1.
4. Placed a 'History' component and configured 'Data' to B1 and 'Destination' to C1. Select the option 'When value changes'
5. Trying excute another query when value of B1 is '0' (Idle) and C1 is 1 (loaded).
But step 5 is never happening as both B1 and C1 are holding same values always.
Am I doing anything wrong? please suggest
-Ram
