BW 7.3 confusion.

In BW 7.3 system, i want to inquire about hierarchies. if i have 3 hierarchies off of one info object like 0GL_ACCOUNT to create, i will still create three infopackages but one dtp? is that correct? Please let me know. thanks.

Hi,

are you using only one data source? if your using one data source one DTP is enough.

if your using 3 data sources then you need to go with 3 DTPs. because each data source have one PSA. dtp always pulls data from PSA to target.

Hey thank you. that is what i thought. it is one data source but i am pulling 3 hierarchies for GL account.  One more doubt is: in dtp should i have "Only retrieve last request" checked? and set it for FULL or Delta (Extraction mode)?

Hi venkat,

This option was used to load  latest request , like in your case, if you want to run one DTP, this option was helpful.

Run 1 info pack, run dtp with ""only retrive last request" and extrcation mode as Full mode.

like this way you need to run for other 2 and 3 info packs, then respective data will load without duplicates.
