Hi,

We have a system with some customised aadpative processing servers, created as per the best practivce guide.

However, when llok at monitoring these show as blue unknown.

Sap note 1838679 - Server Health status of new server shows "Blue" broken dot in CMC in BI 4.0.

talks about adding watch for health state manually.

Have followed isnatructions in here but the watch shows as green but then goes back to blue a few second later.

Wht is thios?

How can we add watches to customised aps servers successfully.

Thanks

Philip,

The instructions within the SAP are fairly easy to follow. I would suggest getting SAP Partners back to fully test your APS Split and set-up Monitoring properly for you environment.

Hi All,

Yes we have same issue.

We followed SAP note step by step.

No change in status of server health.

Watch status shows "Unknown"

Thanks

Hi Suman,

Yes - same here we did exactly as mentioned. simple instaructions but don't look to work.

Would be good to hear if someone out there been able to successfully add watch for new/cloned aps server.

Thanks

Hi Philips,

Today we tried with SAP note 1725208.

It worked fine. It took almost 5 minutes to get changes reflect on system.

Some times while implementing recomended process it shows error but try to ignore it.

Let me know do it works for you are not??

Thanks

Hi SJ,

That note works but then need the default aps and ajs running - albeit can reduce the number of services in it but still means always need the default aps and ajs running if want to see the healt status of newly created/cloned aps and ajs service.

Would ideally like to have default ones stopped and disabled and just use new ones and also have helath status showing.

Anyone managed this?

Thanks

Hi Philip,

We are not using default APS at all in our production system. I applied SAP note to all my custom APS only.

As of now I am good to see health status correctly. its not in broken blue color.

Default APS in stopped and disabled mode only.

Hello Philip,

The default APS and AJS , shouldn't be stopped or disabled. It's recommanded they're kept running with some services . For example you keep monitoring serivces in the original/default APS.

Same thing for the AJS.

Cheers,

Fadoua
