quiz - solman_setup - average time spend

Hello forum,

That's really tedious, nearly to all day to finish a huge Solution Manager solman_setup setup process that is connected to a SLD with around 2.500,00 systems.

Only for curiosity, how many average time do you spend to finish solman_setup on a single solution manager ?

for me, to finis the large jobs, LANDSCAPE_FETCH, CCMS_BI_SETUP and SMSETUP: AGS_IBASE_FOR_SMSY take around 8 hours.

What yours ?

Hi Lluis,

Solman_setup has 3 main config steps inside, so you need to further drill down, we done for about 150+ systems, in 2 days. 4 In team.

Main thing only system preaparation and Basic system configuration may take time consider one whole day.

But for managed system configuration, I could say 10 to 20 min per system,

SOLMAN_SETUP requires around 2 days as per my experiences.

Yes, its a huge number of systems, but that part only affect the process to download data from SLD to LMDB on 7.1 with jobs; on the time mentioned before i don't take care about managed system setup.
