Hello Experts,
I have created a webi report on BICS connection, report contains Date dimension which is comming from the bex.
The Date format comes with this format "dd/MM/yyyy" in the bex report, but in the webi its displaying like this "dd.MM.yy"
But i can give a FormatDate() formula to get rid of this, but user is saying not to create a variable or formula in the column to display
"dd/MM/yyyy", because of confusion with too many dates in the filter.
The requirement is let there be one field in the available objects, when user drops the date field to the report it should display the same as in the bex
"dd/MM/yyyy".
Appreciate your thoughts on this......
Thanks,
Vinay
Hi Vinay,
in BEx there is a logon language, in the SAP BusinessObjects BI-Platform there is a
http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir4/en/xi4sp5_bip_iv_en.pdf#page=25
Change the preferences of that user according to his needs, you might need to test a couple of PVL until you find the right one, English (UK) would be a good candidate. As an alternative, you can fix the language by saving the report with "permanent regional formatting".
Best regards,
Victor

Is it that your end you can see it as dd/MM/yyyy and in Business user's machine it appears like dd.MM.yyyy??
In BEx, the Date Format is User dependent and not done at report level. Please goto the SAP BW transaction SU01D and see what is the Date format in User Default Parameter setting for your ID and Business User ID...You might need to change it to dd/MM/yyyy.
